"Komen Maryland relies heavily on many irreplaceable volunteers to carry out our mission in Maryland. Volunteers not only assist in planning and organizing the Race for the Cure®, but they also serve on various committees, plan educational events, and help our staff on special projects around our office. Through countless hours of tireless work and dedication, Komen Maryland’s volunteers are the ambassadors that carry the Komen Vision of “A World Without Breast Cancer” into our communities. "Komen Ambassadors will help spread the message of the important work of Komen Maryland and how it is directly affecting their communities. Ambassadors represent Komen Maryland at a variety of community events by verbally presenting facts about Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Maryland Affiliate. Publicly thank supporters and donors while explaining how their support is helping to end breast cancer and affect their local community. Maintain understanding of history, mission, and impact of Komen Maryland, and be able to explain to others."so, yeah, there is a lot to learn and I am ready to learn it all!
